I don’t like white gold and my fiance has dark skin (native american and mexican) so yellow gold tends to blend and get lost against his skin. I personally feel rings should somewhat match so what we did was he got a two toned tungsten and Yellow gold ring. there is a pretty think band of yellow gold inlayed into the center if the tungsten band. It made it different yet similar enough to my gold band.
I think to have one with all yellow gold and the other all white gold would look to different and not coordinating at all. They don’t have to be matching or exactly the same (like the people in a marriage don’t have to be), but they should like the people go together in someway.
Etiquette assumes the rings will be the same color. If you’re having a double-ring ceremony make sure the rest of the wedding party knows ahead of time that you’ll be introducing two colors of ring.
How (no pun intended) married are you to white gold? You do know it’s more expensive, don’t you?
If you insist, go ahead. Wear a plain band. The symbolism that says “I’m married” is paramount.
Nope, they don’t have to match! You could get a matching set if you want, or just match the golds, but they can be completely different. The main thing is that each of you chooses one that you like and you will want to wear every day. If the man gets one just because it matches the woman’s, even though he doesn’t really like it, he’ll never be fully happy with it, and vice versa.
What about matching rings? white gold with yellow gold accents for the man and yellow gold with white gold accents for the woman.
My sister in law just got married and she got a white gold ring and her husband got a yellow gold one with a bit of white gold accents.
In my personal opinion, it doesn’t need to be the same colour. It’s all personal preference.
If your really torn over it, you should talk with your partner about it. **GOOD LUCK**
I wanted white gold and my hubby wanted yellow…
So I had to choose yellow since they matched way better.
Go with the same general colors.
It’ll look better in my opinion.
CONGRATS BY THE WAY!

Why would they have to be the same?
My wife’s ring is white gold with a bunch of diamonds and mine is titanium and looks like a piece of a beer keg.

If it doesn’t matter to either of you, get whatever color you want. My husband doesn’t even wear one because he doesn’t like jewelry.
I don’t think it matters if it matches. The individual is the one wearing the ring and they should like the ring they are wearing.
You can whatever rings you want. It is your marriage.
Your rings can be whatever color and style you wish them to be. They do not have to be the same at all.
It’s your wedding, you can do whatever you want.
Nope I got yellow gold to match my engament ring and he got titanium because he feels it is more masculine
Whatever you want.
it doesnt need to be the same ,some people have differen tastes in fashion
In 5 years you won’t give a **** so get whatever you like best.
Are you serious? Tell me this is a joke. No one can be that silly. Wear what YOU want
i don’t think it needs to b the same color.
