Allergic to my white gold wedding band. What can I do about this?

April 6th, 2010 by admin Leave a reply »

I think I may have developed an allergic reaction to my 10k white gold wedding band (well I guess to be more accurate the nickle that it possibly contains.) Even if I wear it for a short amount of time my finger swells up and breaks out in this odd bump covered rash. Is there anything I can do to the ring that can make it wearable without this happening?

    First clean the ring thoroghly then coat it with clear nail polish and then put in on…problem solved.

    Hi there,

    There is few solution for that;

    If you willing to change your wedding bands, you should get higher karat gold such as 18k which reduces the allergic reaction.

    or,

    You can go to any jewelry store and ask them to coat the inside with Rhodium which prevent allergic reaction.
