My fiance and I are planning on getting married next year but our money situation is so tight. He lives in WV and I live here in Los Angeles. Do you think it would be too cheap to get silver instead of white gold rings. All we want is matching wedding bands.
Thank you so much. Great positive answers. I agree with you. He just wants to make me happy.
How would you feel if you got married and we could only really afford silver wedding rings?

Silver is just fine. It just requires more cleaning.
it doesnt matter what the rings are you love each other
I’d be fine with it, in fact I prefer silver over gold, I think it’s prettier.
of course not! how wise of you to recognize your financial limits and not go max out a credit card just to get gold! silver looks so good, develops nice character as it ages and wears, and it won’t turn your finger green! i’d say go get those silver rings and have a wonderful life!
Personally I prefer silver to gold. Silver wedding rings are perfectly okay.
My chosen wedding band is silver and the budget wasn’t even that huge of an issue for us.
Its not too cheap. Silver is a pretty durable metal.
I think it is totally fine. My husband and I could afford white gold (which I got to match my engagement ring) and he CHOSE to have a silver ring. Thank goodness he did as he lost it 3 weeks after we got married. He replaced it though with yet another silver one. They all look the same anyway and he found that there was more of a range with the silver rings. They last as long and anyway it is not what they are made of what matters…
I personally LOVE silver. There is nothing wrong with silver wedding rings! You are wise not to start off your marriage in debt. It is the love and commitment that matters, and your rings will be special to you no matter what they are made from. Best wishes. xx
It makes no difference to me what kind of ring you and your husband want to wear. It’s totally up to you.
I own three rings, one silver, one white gold, and one stainless steel. Honestly I can do anything with my stainless steel on, it’s the most durable ring I’ve ever worn. My bf has a matching one. We’ve considered using them as our wedding bands. It cost $18 for both rings. Get what you can afford and leave it at that.
It doesn’t matter what the ring is made of as long as the relationship is strong.
Good luck and congrats!
Silver is fine. As long as you clean it regularly, it’s very beautiful.
Why do you care what other people think? They won’t care unless they are very materialistic, and it’s none of their business to even ask you in the first place or comment on what your rings are made of. You will be wearing them and paying for them so your opinions are the only ones that matter. If silver is what you want and can afford, then get them.
Given the choice, I would rather have silver than white gold.
Silver is better than gold since it does not bend easily. Who is going ot know it’s silver anyway? My rings are both gold and silver twisted together. My engagement ring is a cubic zirconia too!!!! I get LOTS of compliments on it as well!!!
