Is it tacky to have a yellow gold halo engagement ring, with white gold diamond bands?
August 24th, 2010My ring is a yellow gold halo ring (The band is diamonds, and the center ring is surrounded in a circle by small diamonds). Usually, these rings have two matching bands…one for the wedding and one for an anniversary…but we are buying ours at once. The jeweler suggested that I get the surrounding wedding bands in diamond white gold to brighten the ring up. Basically, the yellow gold ring would be sandwiched between white gold bands…is this tacky?

Can my Yellow gold engagement & wedding rings be turn into White Gold????

My husband gave me a cheap cz engagement ring when we first got engaged…he was a poor student back then. Well, he then bought me a real .5 ct diamond for that engagement ring and i loved it. I still felt the stone was too small, so we upgraded the ring was mounting the diamond on a ring that had more little diamonods on the sides…but it was a yellow gold ring and the wedding band is also yellow. I’m now more into the white gold and I want to know if its possible to transform/change those yellow gold rings to white gold? does anyone out there know anything? I don’t think it will be possible but if anyone out there knows please reply.
