Shortly after my fiance and I got engaged, we decided to do something different for our wedding bands: puzzle rings. We had not seen them in our circles of friends and thought it would be a great idea and of course my fiance told all of his friends what we had planned because we were so proud of this “original” idea. My fiance told me that his best friend (since kindergarten, they’re like brothers) is going to ask his girlfriend to marry him and that her ring should be in by Friday. Being a woman and recently engaged myself, I asked what the ring looked like. He told me it was a puzzle ring. A 4 band, white gold puzzle ring. This was the EXACT ring WE were looking at for our wedding bands. He and I both argued (well, more of a debate) over the idea of me believing it is the same and him believing it is not the same. I feel like it is an infringment on something special for us that we mutually decided on and he sees it as the exact opposite. In the end, we agreed to disagree and would discuss it at a later date.
