I hate diamonds- everyone uses them, and I just don’t like them, because they’re boring. I’ve always wanted just one simple garnet set in silver or white gold rather than a fancy multiple diamond one set in yellow gold like everyone else has. Would what I want be tacky or look cheap?

Also, is it okay to use the same ring for both the engagement and the wedding? I just don’t see the point of buying an expensive ring I would wear maybe a year before I got married and put on a different expensive new ring, but I would like a ring with a stone. And how would that work for the wedding if I was to do it?

Not that I’m getting married anytime soon- these are just the random thoughts of a girl, lol.
