my boyfriend and I are technically engaged but we don’t want to talk about marriage yet, since we both feel we are too young. He got me a beautiful diamond ring and i would like to get him one also. we’re considering them promise rings for now but i have no idea what kind to get him.
He said he had no problem with wearing a ring, but there are just so many possible styles. do men mind diamonds? what kind of band? i know i would like the ring to be white gold but doesn’t look too much like an actual wedding band, and i have no particular price range, but i’m still stuck on the band style and the stone (or if there should be a stone)

Buying a ring for my boyfriend…?

My boyfriend recently lost his ring and knowing how lost he was without one i’ve decided to buy him one. I mentioned it to him and he thought to was a really good idea as it would be a ring from me and would show my love for him. However, he’s not a big jewellery wearer and the only reason why he wore the last one was cos it was his father’s wedding band and it was plain. He’s emphasised the plain, but the only plain i can find in white gold (doesn’t like yellow gold) is wedding bands but i thought it might’ve been a bit weird getting him a wedding band. Any thoughts? x

my fiancee bought me a white gold diamond engagement ring, now we’re getting married next month…. we found a nice bridal set in yellow gold, but im not sure it’s entirely proper at a wedding for him to put a whole bridal set on my finger… would it be alright if he did that or should i just get a yellow gold band.?
i forgot to add before the first answer. the ring we want to buy is already together…
i dont want it to be weird i’ve never heard of anyone putting a full set on at a wedding.

I want to ask you especially guys…

If your wife want to get you a wedding band, do you prefer a ring from jewelry shop(if so, cartier or tiffany) or hand-made ring which she makes at whorkshop.

If I think about a quality and warranty, I want to get from Jewelry shop, but hand-made ring will be more special for him.

In either case, It will be a Platinum, simple half-round band, and surprise present!!

Mine is an oval diamond solitaire from .5 to 1 carat with a white gold band. I’d be even happier to get a wedding band that had diamonds around it.

Mom vs daughter engagment ring battle?

My mom and father did not get married till I was almost 17 (they at the time had been in law school, opening their own firm and raising me and my 3 sisters) any how, my father purposed with a ring had the wedding whole nine yards many years later I got engaged and now married. My father gave my mother a plain solitaire with a diamond a little over 1/2 carrot, when I became engaged I also received a solitaire diamond engagment ring but my diamond is slightly under 1 full ct (a noticeable diffrence) might I add the stone of mine is a family stone passed down. My mother and I live states away but every time I go home to see her she points out how mine is bigger. At one point I took mine off and put it in her jewlery box with hers and she tried to take mine as her own! (which we know it wasn’t bc the size diffrence and one is platinum ones white gold) how do I get her to stop its gotten to the point that I don’t want to wear it to her house bc she is driving me nuts! What do I do?

What does a “10″ stamped inside a ring mean?

My grandmother gave me her grandmother’s (yep! my great great GREAT grandmother’s) wedding ring for my 21st birthday. We don’t know much about it, she thinks it may be white gold with a real diamond, but I haven’t the slightest idea. I looked up what the numbers inside a ring mean, but most of the numbers have a K or KT after them, or are much higher or lower than the “10″ stamped inside mine. If there’s a possibility it’s real, I’m going to take it to get cleaned up at a jeweler. Anyone know what the 10 means or if it’s indicative of the material the ring is composed of?

Does anyone in the medical profession know why my finger would get red and raw underneath a real ring?

It’s my wedding band that I have been wearing for 3 years. I have no doubt that it is real 14k white gold, I bought it. For the last two months I’m not able to wear it because it makes my finger all red and raw. Any ideas as to what causes this?
