How is a prong usually fixed on a white gold diamond ring?
March 25th, 2010A diamond fell out on my wedding ring, and I took it to a jeweler to have it fixed. They put it back in and replaced two of the prongs. A few weeks later the prongs turned black and one even fell off. I took it back and they said it could happen from the solder. Is this usually how they fix rings? Are there any other ways to fix prongs besides solder? Thanks
