Just wondering?? I like to talk about engagement rings and my bf doesn’t so I need to talk to someone else lol I want a tiffanys ring and I will settle for a half karat because the particular ring I like is like a diamond in the center then a bunch of white gold and diamonds around so it looks bigger and its only 6500 dollars I would really like the full karat which is 11000 but I’ll be nice and only request the half karat, do you all have super nice rings I usually would want at least 3 karats but sinces it’s tiffanys and that’s an expensive label I will settle for whatever (as long as it’s tiffanys or some major ring brand like tacori, Jacobs, etc… NOT Jared or Kays or some cheap crap)
We did get into a huge fight about it but I shouldn’t have said cheap stuff I think as long as your happy it’s fine.. I probably won’t be getting the tiffanys unless I upgrade to a rich bf which I won’t because I love him.

What do your wedding rings look like? (if you’re married)?

getting married.. need help bout ring.?
November 28th, 2011my fiancee bought me a white gold diamond engagement ring, now we’re getting married next month…. we found a nice bridal set in yellow gold, but im not sure it’s entirely proper at a wedding for him to put a whole bridal set on my finger… would it be alright if he did that or should i just get a yellow gold band.?
i forgot to add before the first answer. the ring we want to buy is already together…
i dont want it to be weird i’ve never heard of anyone putting a full set on at a wedding.
What do you think about married men & women who don’t wear their wedding rings?
October 22nd, 2011So I know we’ve all heard that it’s bad luck to ever take off your wedding ring and all that jazz, but superstitions aside, what do you think about married people who either don’t wear a ring ever, or take it off occasionally?
For example: I am a married woman, and my ring is a three stone engagement ring soddered inside an enhancer/jacket. The result is that the ring fits more snugly than if it was kept as two separate pieces. My hands, like mose people’s, swell slightly in the summer, and/or if I am bloated for whatever reason. As a result, I have been taking my ring off for short periods of time, because the feeling woyld range from discomfort to nearly cutting off my circulation. I try to put it back on if I am leaving the house, but sometimes my hands are so swollen I can’t get it over my knuckle. I also sometimes take it off if I am cleaning, putting on lotion, or doing something else that might gunk up the ring, because I have a slight case of OCD.
Example two: my husband is a mechanic and takes his ring off at work sometimes. He was married previously and his ex-wife never let him take his ring off. He was working in construction and dropped something heavy on his hand. His ring was crushed into his hand (it was a flimsy white gold band — from Walmart) and it was extremely painful for hkm to get it off, but he had to so it didn’t cut off his circulation and so he could get his finger treated. As a result of this, we were very particular when picking out his wedding band, and got a wider band made out of tungsten, but some jobs, he will still remove his ring so it doesn’t get damaged or hurt him.
Neither of us have a problem with the other removing their ring. We feel that the circumstances are understandable, and that the ring might be a symbol of our marriage, but the marriage itself is the love and commitment between us. Does anyone else feel this way? I mean, it’s not as though we only remove our rings when we go out to bars or clubs, or because we are ashamed of being married. My parents both take their rings off at night or when working with their hands and have been happily married for thirty years this Oct., so I definitely don’t believe any superstitions! What do you think when you hear of people removing their rings?
BQ: When ‘checking out’ a member of the opposite sex, do you take the time to look for a ring on his/her finger?
Oops, I meant to mention this above:
I’m not, like, stressing about this or anything, I was just mildly curious about what the general opinion is ;-D
Oi, so many edits, lol!
In reference to the third post: I know I don’t check out someone’s finger to see if they’re married. If an attractive man passes by, I might notice that he is attractive, but that’s about it. My husband is free to look at whatever woman he pleases (LOOK, not touch, haha), but he is that guy who is more likely to check out a pretty girl’s cool car than the pretty girl herself. This marriage was a long time coming (eight years of ‘carrying the torch’, so to speak), so there’s no way we’re letting anyone come between us.
I guess I just asked to see if a ring is something people notice. I am more likely to notice a woman wearing a ring than a man, because, well, I am a woman and interested in unique jewelry!
Dreams about getting married…?
August 21st, 2011Just for fun and someone else’s input (I already know about dream moods). I know people like to interpret dreams…
The first dream is like this:
I wake up and find out that I am marrying some man who I don’t know in real life but in my dream I had somewhat of a previous relationship with him. He was tall and wore a gery suit, but I didn’t he did not have a discernible face. I didn’t think I had a wedding dress but there was one for me to wear. It was a plain white A-Line dress with a drop neck and spaghetti straps. It wasn’t something I would pick out, but I liked it. I wanted to get my hair done, my nails done and put make up on but the woman who was to be my maid of honor (also not a person I know in real life and I don’t think I was all that familiar with her in my dream) wouldn’t let me. It was as if her only job was to get me to the wedding. The wedding was in our mall in a small store. There were just a handful of guests there. It started and I promptly stopped it because I realize we did not have rings. I ran out of the store and looked at several stores in the mall that usually would have rings, but there were no wedding or engagement rings and I wanted to get both. I was looking for them to be in platinum. I also wanted my groom to pay for them since he had not thought to even propose to me, but he did not come with me when I left. I knew I would have to find a ring and go get him before buying it. After looking at 4 stores which were unnamed in my dream, I keow I only had one more store that could possibly work and that was JC Penney. I went to the jewelry counter, no one was there except a different couple looking for engagement rings, At this point my groom was with me. There was one engagement ring to be had. It needed to be found and I needed to find it before the other couple. Both the other couple and myself looked around the counter for the rings. I found them, an engagement ring and two wedding rings and left without paying (the store appeared to be abandoned anyway).
The second dream:
I woke up and told I was getting married. There didn’t seem to be a groom involved, but I knew I was meeting someone at the altar. I didn’t think I had a dress but there was one set out for me. It had a lot of details, pleats, gathers, beadwork, etc. I didn’t think I would like it, but did once it was on. I wanted to get myself done up but someone was pushing me along to get me to my wedding on time. It was important to me that I wear make up (I don’t wear make up in real life) so I put concealer on first. I focused on putting it on around my eyes and doing so started to think of how I could highlight my eyes with the make up I had. Then I put foundation on then contemplated wearing eye make up. found two different shapes of blue in a “pen” style eye shadow. I put the lighter blue on my entire eyelid for one eye and planned on putting the darker blue on only part of the lid. I got the one eye done and put mascara on the realized I needed to put eye shadow on the other eye. I tried to do it with the mascara on but the mascara ended up getting on my lid an I had to was my entire face and start over.
That’s the end of both dreams.
My hubby and I have been married 5 years and both want new wedding rings…?
July 28th, 2011When we got engaged, he bought me a yellow gold ring, and then we bought matching yellow gold bands. Now 5 years later, we both decided that don’t really like the yellow gold all that much and we’d rather have white gold… does anyone know if jewelry stores will exchange old jewelry for new jewelry? or if i could have the diamonds taken out and put in to a new band? i’m planning on stopping in to the jewelry store later this week but just thought i’d ask to see if anyone knows how it works at most stores.
Should i solder my wedding set when i get married?
July 19th, 2011I have a 14k white gold engagement ring and i have the band to go with it and I am wondering if I should get them soldered after we get married in june 2013, our jeweler told us that if we decide not to get them soldered that the rings won’t use the same and it could damage them, and also how many of you have white gold and don’t get them dipped? I was wondering is this a must getting them re dipped
When getting married, traditionally, do the rings have to be the same color gold?
June 12th, 2011I am getting married in October and I choose to have white gold for my engagement ring. Now we are going to choose the wedding bands. My band obviously is going to be white gold and he wants to wear yellow gold. Is this proper for a traditional wedding?
married couples ring question?
June 5th, 2011Do you know how much or about how much a man wedding ring cost that is white gold?
