I like to talk about engagement rings and my bf doesn’t so I need to talk to someone else lol I want a tiffanys ring and I will settle for a half karat because the particular ring I like is like a diamond in the center then a bunch of white gold and diamonds around so it looks bigger and its only 6500 dollars I would really like the full karat which is 11000 but I’ll be nice and only request the half karat, do you all have super nice rings I usually would want at least 3 karats but sinces it’s tiffanys and that’s an expensive label I will settle for whatever (as long as it’s tiffanys or some major ring brand like tacori, Jacobs, etc… NOT Jared or Kays or some cheap crap)
We did get into a huge fight about it but I shouldn’t have said cheap stuff I think as long as your happy it’s fine.. I probably won’t be getting the tiffanys unless I upgrade to a rich bf which I won’t because I love him.

November 25th, 2011They are both from Zales, white gold and a pretty good size. One was originally around $800 and the other was originally around $3,600.

My husband never got me an engagement nor a wedding band and has promised to get me a ring. He told me to pick it out. Well, what do you guys think? It’s 18KGold and Platinum. I am really not a fan of things that look Silver or Platinum for that matter, but this ring style i couldn’t resist. What is your opinion?

October 17th, 2011My fiance wants his wedding band to have turtles on it. I’m having a hard time finding one in stores and online. He would love it to be white gold. The ring in the link below would be great. But it’s only $20, therefor I’m sure it won’t last a lifetime. All the turtle band rings I see are so cheap. THEN- I found a nice one for $3 thousand dollars! I can’t afford that! $100-$500 price range would be nice.

My mother told me she didn’t like my engagment ring because the diamond was “tiny”!?
October 16th, 2011So my fiance and I saved up together to get an engagement ring I love. It’s white gold solitaire ring and the diamond is .5 carats. I love it. I couldn’t stop smiling for days after we purchased it. When I showed my mother my ring she got this funny look on her face. She told me the diamond was “tiny” and she didn’t like it. Then went on to say that I should trade it in for a bigger diamond and she hoped we kept the receipt. I was so embarrassed and extremely hurt. I had no idea what to say so I just mumbled something about it being all we could afford, smiled, and changed the subject.
I don’t know how to react to this situation. My mother is my best friend and I would love for her to be happy for me instead of worrying about the size of the diamond on my finger (which I think is huge). But my mother has always been a little snobbish. Her solitaire ring is 1.5 carats, so you can see why she would think mine is tiny compared to that. Plus my parents do have alot of money so sometimes they forget that I am not as wealthy as they are. I’m a 21 year old Nursing Assistant, so I don’t have alot of money to spend on engagement rings.
I just don’t know how I should react to this situation. I’m trying not to be hurt about it but it’s difficult not to be. I just don’t know if I should let it go or if I should say something. Maybe I am overreacting. What do you all think?
And no, my parents are not helping out with the wedding. My fiance and I are paying for it ourselves.
I don’t like the engagement ring my fiance bought me.. he was being cheap with it. Should I tell him?
September 30th, 2011It’s not a 2 carat platinum like I hoped for.. he got me a one carat white gold ring. I hope he doesn’t do this with the wedding ring. You know how embarassed I’ll be? Should I tell him or exchange it for something else on my own?

I have a half carat princess diamond set in the ring. The diamond has VS1 clarity, G color, a very good cut, and a 1.02 ratio. The polish, table, and depth are all excellent. The rings are 18k white gold. There’s also 38 side-stones in the engagement ring along with 43 in the wedding band. I payed $1,881. Let me know what you think

i really liked it when i was looking for a ring… but i had my heart set on this pear shaped diamond that was 1.5 carat and set in a simple white gold band or a solitare one… but my husband thought i really liked this one…. i was really expensive and 2.5 carat – it has 27 diamonds. i like it alot… but i loved the pear one. what do you think?

. my ring is so beautiful and extravagant and im very lucky… i just wanted something a little bit simpler… we’r still paying off my ring… and the one i wanted we could have afforded. im sure ill be getting this one in a few years though anyway.

July 20th, 2011I’ve been scouring the net trying to find something different for the wedding ring I want to have made. I came across this website: www.antiquejewelrymall.com. And I LOVE some of the filigree settings. I also like the bezel way of setting stones as well. But some fo these designs really caught my eye. The ring that I am going to have designed will be made of platinum, inclue diamonds, and will be comfort fit. This ring will be for our renewal of vows. BTW/FYI: Im a lady.
