I don’t know very much about having your wedding band redipped. Is it done in gold plating or what? I am wanting to get mine redipped and the guy quoted me for rhodium. Is that normal, or is it supposed to be gold plating? I have no idea about this. Some help please?

I’m interested in getting a platinum wedding band when I get married, but I don’t know much about them. Is there any reason to go to a jeweler, or does that just cost more? There are some online places with cheaper rings, but are they trustworthy (would it really be platinum or something else)? Thanks!
