I just thought I would ask since Tiger Woods wife isn’t wearing hers and I just wondered if married couples take it off when they are mad at one another. I’m not married by the way so I have no idea if this happens all the time.

Looking For Music Entertainment For A Wedding
August 10th, 2010Music is an essential part of a wedding, without it the whole thing would be rather dull! Both parts of a wedding need music, the ceremony and the reception. It helps set the mood and tone for guests to follow, helps transition from the first part of exchanging vows to the celebration part of the reception. Music can help the newly wed couple stay close in a special moment and then share that joy with the guests they have invited. It is not just about dancing, it can also send a message. Depending on the music you have changes the atmosphere from something upbeat to something more calm.
Music has always been a part of weddings but how that takes form has changed a great deal, particularly with the advancement of technology. Today couples get to choose whether they want live musicians or recorded music, or maybe both. Many choose to have some form of live music at the ceremony and then opt for a reception that uses recorded music. At a wedding ceremony acoustic music can set just the right tone and there are various options depending on preference and budget. Some have a harp player, a guitar players, some strings, an organist or pianist or a vocalist, or a mix.
The reception could also have a live band, but common today is the wedding the DJ or disc jockey. They are normally very experienced and can cater to a much larger range of tastes that are spread out amongst your guests. If you find a good DJ they can also help with the running of the reception filling in when needed and making announcements and so on.
There is a lot to do when organizing a wedding, and when you get to the music you need to make sure you know exactly what you are getting. Ask recently wed friends and family for recommendations and make sure anyone you are looking at has references you can check out.
Places to look apart from amongst friends are bridal fairs, the yellow pages and of course online. You must listen to them before you hire them and make sure you talk with them so that they are very clear on what you want from them.

Planning The Wedding – Crucial Steps
January 27th, 2010Everyone knows weddings are fun. And everyone who has ever helped to plan a wedding can attest to what kind of nightmares poor wedding plans can cause. But, planning the wedding doesn’t need to become a nightmare if done properly.
One of the most important aspects to consider when planning is to try to match the type of wedding to the length of time you have to make the plans.
If you are hoping to get married in Paris, invite over 200 guests, and have your gown designed by Vera Wang ‘ you’re looking at more than year, working every day on the details. If you are just hoping to have a few people meet you in Vegas so you can get married by Elvis, even a nice wedding can be arranged in a week.
One of the most time consuming aspects is choosing the dress. Women spend weeks and weeks looking for that perfect dress. If this isn’t something you have time for, and perhaps aren’t even interested in, rent one! This is a fast upcoming business aimed solely at women who realize how cost effective this is. One fitting, one payment, and you can wait till a week before the wedding. Bridesmaids? Have them do the same thing.
You don’t need to do it all yourself. Learn to delegate. You’ll be surprised how things can get done if you choose some reliable friends, give them an assignment, and leave them alone. Almost everyone has a smart phone that can be used like a laptop ‘ if they have questions or want your opinion on something they can send you pictures, text you a question, or even take a video walking around a reception hall to see if you like it.
Instead of spending time at a printer pouring through books and books of invitations, print your own. There are specialty papers and kits made for all types of invitations and they cost a fraction of professional done invites. If time is of the essence, give people your email for RSVPs. The same goes for wedding photos. Hire a professional wedding photographer to fulfill your needs.
Formal sit down dinners are cumbersome, error prone, and rarely appreciated. With photos, dancing, talking, and catching up with family and friends, many dinners remain untouched. Opt for something just as elegant but easier on the budget and probably more enjoyable. Wine and cheese receptions are quite popular, as are desserts only with a coffee bar set up instead of a full bar.
Don’t forget to check on your transportation a few days ahead. Whether you are using limos or depending on friends, double check addresses, times, routes and even talk about parking availability in larger cities for friends driving in.
Also important ‘ tell people to leave the gifts behind, or at least send them to your home. You aren’t going to open them there anyway! Don’t make other people figure out how to pack them up and get them to you later on.
