I want to ask you especially guys…
If your wife want to get you a wedding band, do you prefer a ring from jewelry shop(if so, cartier or tiffany) or hand-made ring which she makes at whorkshop.
If I think about a quality and warranty, I want to get from Jewelry shop, but hand-made ring will be more special for him.
In either case, It will be a Platinum, simple half-round band, and surprise present!!

Yesterday evening, my husband gave me the shock of a lifetime!!! We we’re out on our bi-weekly date our favorite restaurant (Ruby Tuesday). He got down on one knee, and proposed to me in front of the whole restaurant!! I was so shocked, that I couldn’t say a word. The whole restaurant started clapping… and I said “YES”!
What I was not expecting was to get a ring out the proposal!! My husband went to a local jewelry store, and purchased a lovely platinum engagement ring, and matching band all by himself. That’s what shocked me. Apparently he’s been saving money for over a year. I am very proud of him.
The last thing that shocked me was he asked me to plan the wedding we should have had 8 1/2 years ago. Our wedding day was a disaster. He doesn’t care, where, when, or how. Just as long as he gets to say his vows to me again. I started crying again.
I won’t start planning until after the first of the year, because I’m pregnant with twins. I’ve got pregnancy brain at the moment.. LOL!
So ladies, has your husband ever asked you to marry him again? Please no rude answers. Thanks.
ok , so we have a four month old little boy, since we can’t aford a daycare, my husband, who works in the evening, takes care of him while i work in the morning, and i take care of him in the evening while he’s at work. we only see each other on the weekend and it seems like all we do is argue. i feel like the arguments are my fault because i snap in like 2 seconds and i don’t mean to. i do love my husband and he’s done so much to try and make me happy, but he told me the other day ” nothing i do is ever good enough to make you happy” he bought a car a beutiful wedding ring, bracelet, a tiffany’s platinum necklace and an apartment that he fills up with gas 99% of the time and doesn’t even drive it. i’m afraid that if my attitude doesn’t give he’s gonna leave me. help!!!
I asked my close friend’s husband who is a jeweler if he could make my fiance’s wedding rings (I’m getting him 2 that link together, symbolic of 2 people in a relationship:). I thought it would save money and be more personal.
I bought the rings I wanted in silver and sent them to him, asking for platinum.
He took about 3 months to make them, which didn’t bother me; I just wanted to have them in plenty of time for christmas. But I got them today, and they can’t be platinum, right? They were $600 for starts, and secondly, they look yellowish.
I am SO embarassed that he spent all this time making them (I mean they really are VERY simple plain rings, though!), and they don’t look anything like I envisioned.
What do I do? Do I call him? He doesn’t respond to email … should I talk to my friend, his wife, and ask her to ask him? What should I say???
Okay so we had a silly fight and he threw it in the bathroom… seems like it should be easy enough to find. But we’ve been looking for 2 days and can’t find it! It’s too big to go down any plug holes. Any ideas on how we could find it?? It’s 18k white gold… could a metal detector pick it up?
P.S. Yes he feels bad and also we have no toilet in our bathroom so it couldn’t have gone there!
Toilets are typically in a separate room to the shower/bath in my country.
Lol it means someone can go to the toilet while someone is showering… we have a bath/shower/sinks in one big room and a toilet in a smaller room.
You go to the bathroom and wash your hands, the rooms are close to eachother. I don’t find a toilet in the same room shocking… why do Americans find different things so shocking and hard to understand??
He wants yellow gold, but I prefer white gold or platinum, plus my engagement ring is white gold anyway. I won’t wear yellow gold, but he said he would wear white gold for me, if it is necessary that we wear matching bands. I don’t want to be selfish though, if his heart is set on yellow gold. Does it really matter if we wear different colours?
My boyfriend loves yellow gold i do too. But personally we both think that engagement rings look better on white gold than yellow gold…but he would NEVER wear a white gold ring. So would it look bad if i get my engagement and wedding band in white gold n he gets his wedding band in yellow gold??? i also don’t like when a ring has both yellow and white gold in it i just think it looks to tacky. and i would NOT want to have my engagement ring in white gold and my wedding band in yellow gold. I wear both type of golds. So please help us out… we appreciate your time and God bless!!!
Okay so my husband bought me a new wedding ring because when we got married we couldn’t afford a nice one.so he gave me one and I don’t like it.it’s just a small single diamond in platinum. I wanted a set.he knows I don’t like it. He said I thought that would make u really happy.is it wrong of me not liking it…
So confusing about this kind of situation and im not comfortable of wearing it.
Just wondering because my husband & I were on a budget and spent about $500 for both and they look great and we love them!
