i want to clean my wedding ring and i dipped it in alcohol and boy it was shiny after words my husband thought it might damage the ring since its white gold as well…. would id damage the diamonds or the white gold?

Is it possbile to remove and replace princess cut diamonds in a channel setting on a wedding band?
August 17th, 2011The ring is 14k white gold. The diamonds in the channel setting are cloudy, and I wanted to know if I could have a jeweler take those diamonds out and replace with other princess cut diamonds.
How difficult would it be to find princess cut diamonds small enough to fit into the channel setting?

Diamonds or White Gold?
July 22nd, 2011I’ve never really seen much point in a wedding ring with a diamond so I always thought Id’ get a pipe cut band or an Irish claddagh ring or something. I’m happy to say this is a decision I have to make now and my fiancée has given me the choice. So i’m curious, how could choosing a diamond hurt the environment more than the other choices and which do you prefer and why?

I like the idea of putting stones in his band (many men’s bands are very plain).
But I am wondering if he will think that’s too, well, feminine.
I was thinking of something like this:
