Does my wedding stone have to be a diamond?

I know traditionally wedding rings have diamonds in them but I really tend to not like diamonds much, I find them too plain, and am really attracted to sapphires. So could my wedding ring have a sapphire as the main stone with diamond accents instead of just a diamond or would that be too ‘untraditional’?
I really want this (or this kind of) ring. What do you think of it? Do you think it would be too small for a wedding ring?

Selling price for diamond wedding band set?

How much would you buy or do you think this ring could be sold for?

It is a 3 carat diamond ring
Center stone is one carat
rounds in center ring total one carat
each band is half carat
diamonds are set in white gold

Ring was recently re-dipped, not worn since dipping, ring is from Helzberg diamonds, and warranty is uptodate along with 6 month inspections up to date as well.
Also, all three bands are saudered together and the ring is size 7 1/4.

Where can I find diamond engagement rings with ruby accents?

I’m looking for an engagement ring with a diamond in the centre, then rubies down the shoulder, in white gold or platinum – something a little unusual would be nice, but as long as it’s not too expensive that’s the main requirement. Any ideas?

what is my diamond wedding set worth ?the engagement ring is a 3 stone ring set in a 14k white gold band totaling 1 1/4 ct. and the wedding band is also 14k white gold with smaller stones across the top totaling 14 ct. so the set is 1 1/2 ct. total

What is this diamond ring worth?? And what do the markings mean inside the ring??

As I was driving on the highway I notice an older female was broken down. I stopped my car and offered my help, after a few seconds I realized the car was simply out of gas. So I ran to the local gas staion ,got her gas and Put it in the car for her. After this task was completed she took off one of the many diamond rings from her finger and insisted I take it..after many of my declines and her persistency i took the ring..After awhile I began studying the ring. It has one diamond bigger than most wedding rings and four more slightly smaller on each side of thegigger middle diamond. Inside the ring it’s stamped 14 Karat and on the opposit side is a W. Dose this mean white gold??and is the karat identify the diamonds or the gold??
