Is it just me or does it not make sense for your wedding dress to cost more than your wedding ring?!?
March 2nd, 2011I am watching Platinum weddings and the brides wedding gown is $50,000 and her 3 carat wedding ring was $40,000. Not to mention she is wearing 5 more dresses throughout the weekend of her wedding all adding up to be around $5,000 to $6,000 per dress. She’s not even in her wedding gown for the reception. Is it just me or is that a waste?
Don’t get me wrong, it is nice for those people who have money but alot of it was just excessive. I have been to quite a few weddings, never a bride, but they were all fully catered with wedding planners and even entrees’ that you could RSVP for and the wedding wasn’t like this one. I know entertainment is entertainment, but the alleged budget so far has surpassed $600,000 for the wedding/bridal shower/reception.
I’m just sayin’!
How much should it cost to have wedding band (rings) strengthened?
February 24th, 2011…at the bottom of the bands, and have the diamond prawns redone (added to or whatever)? It’s a princess cut wedding band set (1 diamond ring and 2 anniversary bands.) What’s the average? I’m in Houston Texas if that matters. Zales wants like $180, does that seem high???

December 15th, 2010Hi, I have an engagement and wedding ring in 18carot white gold that is at least 4 sizes to be for me and I was wondering if anyone on here knew roughly how much it will cost to have them both made smaller! I have lost over 4 stone in weight since I got married and now they almost fall off my finger so I’m worried about wearing them in case I lose them! I had planned on buying the ring here, but since my plans changed and I’m leaving in about 10 days, I don’t think I’m gonna have time to order the one I wanted off the internet. My fiance doesn’t like yellow gold and doesn’t want anything fancy.

Thanks Sarah T., I didn’t know white gold was forbidden too. Thanks Lou, I would prefer platinum plated sterling silver. That is what I originally planned on buying here in the states.

September 19th, 2010I’m not looking to buy a gold ring. I don’t know whether to go for titanium, platinum or silver though. And we’re not going to include gem stones. Just a simple ring. Also, how long does it take before you receive it? After I get my fiance’s ring size and they size it for him how long will it take? Thanks for your help!
