Does it really matter the quality of the diamonds in it?

I found a ring at SamsClub that is perfect for me. I absolutely love it.

I don’t have high standards, it doesnt have to be this huge rock or anything but its affordable ($323.00) and i just love the ring. I know its less than 1 carat in diamonds. .72 or something like that, i cant remember the exact #.

But the reason why i ask is because I want it to last. Of course right, i mean ill be wearing it hopefully forever lol.

Its a square ring with 9 small diamonds in the center in an invisible setting so it looks like one fairly good sized diamond. Then it has little diamonds around it and a little bit on the band on either side of the main center piece. Its 14k white gold.

So like i said, im not a girl with high standards, i dont have to have the best of the best with top notch this and that. I just want it to last and to look like how it did when he first bought it for me. I don’t want the gold to get discolored and the diamonds to look crappy later on in 20, 30, 40 years from now.
Im sure you all understand.

So let me know what you think, and I’d appreciate any advice on what to look for when i’m lookin with my fiance for our wedding rings. (like the minimum quality gold, or diamond or settings i should get.)

there is a link to a pendant that looks similar to the ring. I couldn’t find the ring online.
But, its something to sort of give you an idea of what i was trying to describe in the ring.
