My fiance and I are getting married in August, and we are starting to look into wedding rings. We bought a home last year and have spent quite a bit of money recently; also want to put a deck on our house Spring of ’10, so spending hundreds and hundreds of $$ on rings right now does not really appeal to us. However, I do of course want these rings to be special and not just the most affordable ones we could find. . . I realize for example that sterling silver would be extremely affordable but I really do not want to go with that for our wedding rings! Would love to know peoples’ opinions on Tungsten, Titanium, compared to white gold, etc. . . and pros and cons of each.

March 22nd, 2011I assume most people prefer Platinum, I also heard that Platinum is too soft for the common man so most men get white or yellow gold. Does anyone prefer the Tungsten rings? They seem to be the most heavy duty and industrial looking.
