August 25th, 2010My boyfriend was married for a very short time (4 months) and we still have his wedding ring it is platinum with diamonds. We want to get rid of it, but neither of us have ever pawned something, or really used like ebay or craigslist. Were not really sure what to do with it but we don’t want it in our house anymore!
How do you keep the best man from losing the wedding rings in his pocket?
August 14th, 2010OK here’s another thing I probably shouldn’t be worried about, but I just wondered if anyone has ideas…
I am getting married in 9 days. The best man is also serving as my stand-in “father of the bride.” We have just him and my matron of honor in our wedding party… no flower girl or ring bearer.
Does anyone have any creative ideas to help the best man carry (i.e. not lose in the depths of his pocket) our wedding rings? They are both plain white gold bands, and although it is easy to tell apart his and hers by the size… I always thinks it looks silly when the person is fumbling to find the right ring at the right time. Thank you for your suggestions

He is trustworthy, but he is an older gentleman. We have both known him for many, many years and consider him one of our very best friends.
I just wanted to make it easier on him and was hoping for something unique, but not cutesy. It’s not like I’m going to make him drag a ring pillow up the aisle

July 31st, 2010I had a ring custom made by a husband of a good friend, and I asked for platinum. I got the rings todtay, and compared to my engagement ring, they look much more yellow, so I’m afraid they’re not platinum! I am so embarassed because I made a big deal about asking him to do this for me, and I don’t know if he did it wrong — I’m too afraid to call and ask.
So I thought maybe I’d ask the opinion of others before I call — what do YOU think is best (i.e. if it turns out its not platinum … which it probably isn’t cause he charged me $600 … should I just keep it and give it to him anyway? It won’t match my rings then, but maybe its better for a guy NOT to have platinum?)

July 26th, 2010I have a white gold wedding ring with pretty diamonds. I have been using good old toothpaste on my tootbrush and brushing it til it shines. But I wanna know if there is a better way… and an affordable way. Or better yet, a free way.
