which wedding band?

i have a 1 ct pear solitaire set in platinum. the band is about 4mm wide. i would like to get two, thin (2 mm) gold bands to wear as wedding bands (one on each side of the engagement ring). since the engagement ring is so simple, i would like to use my bands to add a little twist. do you think yellow or rose gold would look better to contrast the platinum engagement band? i am torn.
i don’t want all platinum because the solitaire is so simple to begin with. i wanted to add a fun twist to it. to see what the color combo would look like, check out these links:

Looking for wedding band, does anyone know about ring wraps?

My fiancé had my engagement ring made. The stone is a 1/2 carat heritage diamond (150-200 years old). The front of the stone is flat and square in shape. The band is white gold, and the crown was custom made to hold the stone (because of it’s unusual shape). We are getting married in September and need to get our wedding bands soon. I can’t find anything that I feel matches it very well. I like the look of “ring wraps” that I have seen, but all the ones I’ve seen are designed for round settings. We don’t have enough room left in our budget to have our wedding bands made… does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Could You Help Me Find a Wedding Band to Match a Heart-Shaped?

I am a very different kind of person. My engagement ring is amethyst heart shaped! yay. Here is the pic from helzberg.

I just love it. I want to find a wedding band to fit it, so I looked into either a wrap or a chevron. I love buying stuff from helzberg, but I am also looking at jewelry from ebay.

I think its great. so here is another option its the same chevron I want but instead of the largest carat at helzberg being 1/4 carat for 400$ this is 1.33 carat for about half. BUT even though they say its such and such quality how am I to know for sure. Me and my fiance are really worried about purchasing anything from ebay! So does anyone know of any really creative, pretty, colorful, or diamond preferably white gold to match my engagement ring Wedding Band?

Is it possbile to remove and replace princess cut diamonds in a channel setting on a wedding band?

The ring is 14k white gold. The diamonds in the channel setting are cloudy, and I wanted to know if I could have a jeweler take those diamonds out and replace with other princess cut diamonds.
How difficult would it be to find princess cut diamonds small enough to fit into the channel setting?

Can you find a matching wedding band to my engagement ring?

My finance had proposed to me with a white gold .25 ct 6-prong marquise cut engagement ring. Since it didn’t come as a set, we’re looking for a curved wedding band that will sit perfectly next to it.

What kind of wedding band will look best?

I need help picking out a wedding band that will look good with my unique engagement ring.

I don’t like the look of the notched matching wedding band because I could never wear it alone. Can there be a gap between the rings? I want it to be white gold but it doesn’t have to match exactly. I like the look of two different rings too. Please help!

How much does an engagement ring/wedding band cost?

I am planning on proposing to my girlfriend… and i was wondering on how much a ring would cost for her… i guess that i would mostly want a price range…. or something along those lines…. or you could just tell me how much you paid for one before, or how much one cost that you recieved.

I would really like to get her one that had a blue tourmaline gem on it like this one:

How to tell if a guy has on a wedding band or a regular ring?

There’s a guy I’m interested in and we talk about pursuing a relationship. However, he wears a ring on his ring finger that looks like a silver or white gold band. I don’t want to automatically jump to conclusions and assume he’s engaged or married – he really doesn’t seem like a player type. However, I don’t know any other guys who wear a ring that looks like a wedding band on their ring finger. What are the chances that a guy would wear a ring that resembled a wedding band just because he likes it without it having anything to do with being taken? This guy has some tattoos and piercings, so I figure there’s a good chance he’s just more into jewelry than an average guy, so I’m confused.

Also, I feel awkward asking him about the ring – I don’t want him to think I don’t trust him and see him as someone who isn’t faithful and is playing games, but I need to know. What would be a good way to bring up the subject and find out? (I just hope he’ll be honest)

Would a this wedding band look silly with my engagement ring?

So this might sound like a silly question but I am currently in the process of planning a wedding and my fiance and I have been talking about our wedding bands. Now I’ve always wanted a wooden wedding band (probably a darker wood like black wood or rosewood or something) but the engagement ring that I have is white gold. Would it look silly to pair the two?

My wedding band snapped!?

I work at shop rite. I’m a cashier. While bagging, I noticed a weird slit on my ring. I looked closer and it was a straight cut on the bottom. Completely snapped! If I was to pull at the ring, it would totally break in 2. My hubby bought it online. I can’t remember the shop. It’s just a plain “white gold” wedding band. 10 ct. (uk bought) Has this happened to anyone? I’ve only been wearing it for 3 weeks. Could it be fixed? how much would that go for? thanks.
