Not that I know of. The best man is supposed to be the groom’s best friend whither he’s married or not.

The ring depends on what you like. My husband work’s with his hand’s so his ring is Titanium because gold bends easy. Just get what ever you like. Oh and the groom’s ring doesn’t have to match the bride’s. (unless you want it to of course)

the best man is just the grooms best friend or fave relative. my brother was best man for another of my brothers and he was only 14 when he was best man.
I like the traditionalism of gold wedding sets

There are no rules for the best man.

I prefer gold. Platinum seems like a ripoff.

Your best man should be your best friend, it doesn’t matter if he is married or not, gold vs platinum is also a personal choice. I like the look of yellow gold, some prefer white gold, or platinum.

In the old days the best man was supposed to take care of your wife if anything ever happened to you.

    Nope, no such rule.

As for rings, platinum is more expensive. I would personally prefer that or white gold. I’m not a huge yellow gold person.

No. Gold versus platinum is simply a matter of choice and the best man may be married or unmarried the same as the maid or matron of honor.

There is no rule about the best man being single or not.

As for the ring… What do you like? What styles do you like? There are perks of both, but you need to find something that will fit both of your personalities and make you both happy to wear it.

I don’t think it matters if the best man is married or not.

As far as wedding rings, I’d say platinum. That’s what I have.

platinum is more popular then gold – and no, the best man can be either:)

Doesn’t matter for best man. Go with gold; platinum and white gold go in and out of style – yellow gold is classic.

It doesn’t matter if the best man is married or single…as for the ring, gold is able to be sized but platinum cannot be sized.
