Information about platinum rings?

January 16th, 2010 by admin Leave a reply »

I’m interested in getting a platinum wedding band when I get married, but I don’t know much about them. Is there any reason to go to a jeweler, or does that just cost more? There are some online places with cheaper rings, but are they trustworthy (would it really be platinum or something else)? Thanks!

Go to a jeweler. Platinum is a rarer metal and it is the best. http://www.jewelryexchange.com is a good jeweler with tons of locations. Also try any local jeweler that has platinum (not all do).

There’s a saying “you get what you pay for” and it’s true.

If you buy Hugo Boss or Armani, the suit will last for 10 years and if you buy a $50 suit it will look like you slept in it after one wear. Your ring will last a lifetime… If platinum is too expensive then go for gold (white if you prefer) but I would be careful in buying off e-bay.
If it’s to good to be true it probably is.
