I’m thinking of selling my platinum wedding band. What’s best option to sell the ring whole or sell the metal?

It’s a solid platinum band. Should I try eBay, a jewelry shop, or are there places you can just sell the metal? I don’t want to keep it or have it turned into something else.

If its just a platinum band, try a few jewelry stores, they usually don’t take jewelry with gemstones because they purchase and certify their own diamonds… but will buy metals to melt down. Try a few local jewelers.

Ebay is better for jewelry with diamonds or other gems.

So why the enthusiasm? I think you should keep it. It should represent what you originally started, not what it turned into. Then, if it’s nothing more than needing the cash to subside, then sell it for what you can get. There’s another lesson. What exactly did you give?
Don’t be bitter. It suits no one.
I’m not trying to be esoteric, but you give me no choice.

Wow, someone pissed you off…. Just kidding…. Maybe you should sell the whole thing…. Someone can do more with a “whole” ring than just the metal….
