Pawn Shop and you won’t get a third of the value!

not online? a pawn shop or craigslist

check ebay for similar styles and see what they are going for

Ring some jewelers and ask for your best option.

ebay! You get ask for the price you want and if they don’t give it to you, you can see the prices of hundreds of offers and decide if you can sell it for that or not!

first what city are you in….i used to manage pawn shops and i can be honest about where you might get the best deal in relation to where you live. you can try selling them through the paper but that can take forever. Also another option is EBAY. get a digital camera and take some photos so its very clear what is being sold and what isn’t. Make sure if you choose EBAY that you set your reserve price to exactly what you want otherwise you may not get the price you want.

Why are you reluctant to sell them online? Jewelry has such a high markup, you’re correct in your assumption that you won’t get what you paid for them. I think you have a better chance of making a decent profit from ebay than you do from an independent jeweler. If you bought them from a jeweler ask him/her for some input. Good luck!

Some jewelry shops and Pawn shops will buy used rings but they only pay about 20% – 30% of the original value as the mark up on Jewelry is so high…..just open you local phone book and start calling them…..you could also try a ad in the paper but still you will not get more than 50% of the original value for the ring.

were I live I buy $6000 rings for less than $500 at aucions all the time.

The last ring I bought was on ebay it is a $4500 dimond ring and I got it for $380……ebay is not a good place to sell but a great place to buy if you know what you are doing.

    Good luck
