I am shopping for a tungsten wedding ring with a platinum inlay, but I am only finding a couple styles. Who are the major tungsten ring manufacturers? Most every jewelry store that I’ve gone to so far carries only Triton tungsten rings. I’m looking for a 7mm wide stepped band with a brushed white gold or platinum inlay. Any suggestions?

Tungsten is not a very common metal for rings – you may have / want to get a custom ring made

I’m not even searching for tungsten, but I’ve across many different styles. Unfortunately, I haven’t been bookmarking the sites (because it’s not what I’m looking for), but here’s some I recall from memory:

    http://titaniumera.com/catalog/list?cid=701
    http://www.tungstenaffinity.com/Inlay-Tungsten-Rings-s/103.htm
    http://www.tungstenworld.com

You’ll find a lot of the titanium retailers deal with tungsten as well.

I thought platinum was for rings and tungsten was for artificial hips.

How about looking online. It’s a great way to widen your options and it should be pretty safe. Edward Mirell makes a lot of gorgeous designs in Tungsten and Steel. Look him up under Google and you may find a local place who carries them. Expect long delivery times from the e.g., 4-5 weeks from them.

    Good Luck!
